Responsibilities
- You run your delivery days from start to finish: load, plan, deliver, and report back.
- Your day starts around 08:30 and runs until the deliveries planned for that day are done, usually before 17:00.
- You write down your own hours.
Your responsibilities:
- ~60% Delivering across Amsterdam. You pick up your load at [location], plan a smart route, and deliver to cafés, bakeries, and cultural spaces across the city. Mostly by van, sometimes by e-cargo bike, the way we started in 2021.
- You know which streets to avoid at 8:30 in the morning and where you can actually stop.~20%
- Being the face of ROA at the door. You hand over the order, have a short chat with the barista or the owner, and pick up on what's going on: what's selling, what isn't, what they're missing. You pass that back to the team.
- ~10% - Loading, checking, and returns. You check your load before you leave, count what goes out, and take back empties and any damaged product.
- ~10% - Reporting back. You register your deliveries and flag anything that went wrong the same day, so customer operations can pick it up before the customer has to ask.
Who are you?
- Do you get energy from being on the road instead of behind a desk, and do you like a job where you're done when you're done? Then we're looking for you. This will help your application:
- You hold a valid driving licence B and you're a confident, calm driver in the city, and you're comfortable on an e-cargo bike for the smaller routes
- You live in Amsterdam or very close by, and you know the city: the traffic, the bridges, the loading zones, and the times of day to avoid
- You speak fluent Dutch; English is a plus, since a good number of our customers' baristas work in English
- You're physically fit: you'll be lifting full cartons and 5L Bag-in-Box repeatedly throughout the day
- You're reliable and communicative: if something goes wrong, you call, you don't disappear
- You're friendly and presentable at the door; our customers remember the person who delivers, not the invoice
- Experience with delivery work is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities as Logistics & Customer Operations Coördinator
You coordinate our customers' entire customer journey, from the first inquiry to the invoice. Throughout the day, you switch between customers, warehouses, carriers, and our systems, and you make sure it all adds up. Your responsibilities:
- ~40% - Customer support: the customer journey from start to finish. In Trengo, you handle customer questions, from orders and product questions to "where's my order?". You're the first face of ROA and make sure customers get fast, personal help.
- ~40% - Order processing and administration. You book orders in with our 3PLs and warehouse partners and register them in our ERP system, including quotes and invoices. You ensure every order checks out, from order to payment.
- ~10% - Account management of warehouses and 3PL carriers. You maintain the day-to-day relationship with our logistics partners and solve critical problems collectively with them: from quality issues to damage and customs, across Europe.
- ~10% - Getting hands-on and improving processes. In logistics, things inevitably go wrong: unexpected issues come up that need to be solved on the spot. You're the person for that, and whatever you run into along the way, you translate into structurally better processes.
Who are you?
Do you get energy from a day that never goes exactly as planned? Are you a generalist who switches gears quickly, takes ownership, and gets things done? Then we're looking for you. This is an entry-level role: you don't need to already know everything, just be willing to learn everything. This will help your application:
- You have 1 to 4 years of work experience, for example in operations, logistics, customer support, or hospitality, or relevant internships/side jobs
- You speak great English, additional languages (for example Dutch, German, French, and Spanish) are a plus given our warehouses and customers across Europe.
- You're digitally savvy; experience with a CRM, ERP or ticketing system (we work with Odoo and Trengo) is a plus, experience with Claude Code & creating AI agents is a bonus
- You're organized and customer-focused: you help today's customer and prevent tomorrow's question
- You keep a cool head when things go wrong and stick with it until it's resolved
